Biblical Femininity Introduction

Proverbs 31:10 is written as follows, "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price [is] far above rubies."

1 Timothy 2:9-15 says, "In like manner also, the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety."

Women, in today's world, have steered away from the original principles of femininity according to the Bible. The Bible tells us particular characteristics that women should pertain to, being a lady who wants to please her Lord.

In this blog, there will be several posts - each post concerning with a different issue of biblical femininity. The subjects include (but are not limited to) Modesty in Dress, Lady-like Locks, Masking with Make-up , Tenderness through the Tongue, and Submission and Obedience.

Each post will have scripture included that pertains to the particular subject. The main portion of the post will be based off of the Word of God. However, my personal opinion will be thrown in variously, but with caution.

Enjoy!
